TTC’s Public Relations (PR) Specialist is responsible for working with the VP of PR and PR Coordinator to communicate luxury and premium product messages to the media. The PR Specialist’s role maintains media relations while collaborating with brand presidents and marketing teams for promotional activities. Candidate will be responsible for crafting thoughtful and inspiring copy for a variety of mediums (particularly press releases), pitching editors and journalists, and assisting with social media engagement. Excellent oral and written communications is of utmost importance. This position will be located in Boca Raton, FL.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Write clear and persuasive copy for a variety of public relations and marketing applications, including press releases, award applications, and president’s letters
+ Manage media relations and requests
+ Pitch journalists and editors to obtain media coverage
+ Organize and executive familiarization (FAM) trips
+ Enhance the company’s voice and presence through various social media platforms
+ Develop and maintain PR calendars
+ Monitor editorial calendars and pitch applicable packages
+ Categorize and archive press clippings
+ Formulate PR plans and strategies
Qualifications – Education:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, or a related field preferred
Qualifications – Experience:
+ At least three years writing and PR experience required
+ Travel writing experience preferred
+ Portfolio and work samples required (print and online)
+ Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

An ideal intern for Sharp Communications is a self-motivated, creative, organized individual with strong interest in public relations. Previous internships experiences are a plus.
Sharp interns have the chance to gain hands-on industry experience through a wide range of projects and will learn how to think strategically about using communications channels to support marketing goals, how to measure and track activities and how to best engage key audiences.
