This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Marketing Director intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that builds the community’s understanding of the YMCA’s impact through development and implementation of effective marketing strategies which will ultimately result in an increase in membership units and program participation. (Location: West Palm Beach, FL)
+ Builds and maintains partnerships among a wide variety of organizations to advance YMCA awareness in the community. This includes, but is not limited to, health systems, physicians, public health officials, employers, community-based organizations, and health seekers.
+ Markets YMCA services and programs to the community resulting in increased membership units and program participants.
+ Develops, recommends and implements a strategic plan for Membership and Program acquisition and retention.
+ Recruits, develops relationships, presents, and visits with businesses to add/retain Corporate Membership accounts.
+ Coordinate Member Appreciation Events and Enrichment Activities within the YMCA.
+ Assist all departments with the development of marketing materials for internal and external communication.
+ Identifies opportunities and represents the YMCA at community events.
+ Develops, manages, and executes YMCA social media efforts.
+ Assist membership team with facility tours, sales and membership retention programs, and serves as a leader on the Membership Team.
+ Serve as Leader on Duty, as needed.
+ Assists with Annual Campaign fundraising efforts.
+ Assists with the association events; including but not limited to, the Annual Prayer Breakfast and Golf Tournament.
+ Performs other duties as assigned for members.
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, hospitality, related field or equivalent.
+ One to two years related experience. Previous YMCA experience preferred.
+ Experience in creating and delivering sales presentations.
+ CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
+ Completion of YMCA program-specific and trainer certifications.
+ Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
+ Valid Florida driver’s license required.
+ Bilingual/Spanish preferred.
